Our Facilities

Teaching Facilities: The professionals teach all aspects of the game from the posture and swing dynamics through to course management, physical fitness and the mental side of golf. They use all the major practice facilities which include:

Main Practice Ground: sited along Kings Lane and adjacent to the 15th hole, Chapel Hill, and the river Blackwater, this facility measures some 500 yards in length and 80 yards in width. It contains a series of targets that will enable the professionals to teach the long and mid range shots.

Mid to Long Game Practice Ground: adjacent to the 5th hole, Plantation, this area measures around 200yards in length and 50 yards in width and is ideal for teaching the mid distance game and swing techniques. The professionals take advantage of the slope created by the natural contours of the area to teach different shots.

Short Game Practice Ground: adjacent to 1st hole, The Cedars, at present this consists of a chipping green, two greenside bunkers and an approach area of 100 yards that is suitable for a variety of pitching and chipping shots. Through the summer of 2009 this will be developed with improvements to the green surface and bunkers, and a series of artificial grass mats will be carefully placed to enable the professionals to teach all shots for distances of 30 to 120 yards, as well as a variety of round-the green chipping and bunker shots.

Centenary Putting Green: considered by many to be the most important part of the game, adjacent to the clubhouse and extended over recent years to provide a variety of slopes and contours.
